There are lots of ways in which you or your organisation can help to minimise the risks. This resource highlights some of the things you can do and contains links to websites where you will find further information.

Accessibility:

The resource was created as a Xerte learning object. It has in-built accessibility functions that allow you to change the background colour, font and font size. It will also work with screen readers.

Additional information:

Some organisations are considering moving away from the purchase of their own equipment, to looking at ways in which learners can bring and use their own laptops, iPODs and mobile phones for learning.

Tip!:

Many organisations create an Acceptable Use of ICT Policy, which covers not just the use of computers and the Internet but for staff also covers the transportation and care of equipment by staff and volunteers.
