The Engaging Learners through Video resource has been created as a blog and can be accessed using the link below. When you open the resource it will open in a new window. Read the home page of the blog and then select the tabs to explore different ways in which video can be used with learners.
The tab key can be used to tab through the links within the resource. Your browser's zoom controls can be used to increase the size of the text and/or images.
This resource demonstrates the use of a blog as a means of hosting online links. Microsoft Photo Story is very easy to use and it is also a great tool for learners to use themselves to create their own videos. Photo Story can work wonders in presenting a series of photos in a really dynamic way, but if you want to progress to working with actual video clips you could use another free programme, Windows Movie Maker. You will find this programme on most Windows computers.
Why not use Photo Story to create your own video called My Family? You can scan or re-photograph old photos, and then add your own voice-over commentary.
